Review:
Part-time Princess is about a girl struggling to make ends meet, loses her current job and comes across an ad on Daveslist (the equivalent of Craigslist) for a very mysterious, yet intriguing part-time  job that pays really well. Lucy decides to send in her resume and is excited when she gets a response. Little does she know, the part-time job is to pretend to be Lady Elizabeth Theresa Billingsley for a few weeks.

I found Part-time Princess to be a super cute story. Lucy is a feisty one, and tends to be a bit on the sarcastic side. She's the perfect candidate to take this kind of job. She gives everything her all and when something isn't working out, she doesn't stick around to see if it will. She's a go-and-get-it kind of gal and I really liked that about her. She doesn't put up with peoples BS. And under normal circumstances, she blunt and will tell it like it is. You know, unless the truth violates her contract.

I did however dislike the fact that everything seemed to fall into place for her so easily. I won't elaborate on this because it will give far too much of the story away, but it seemed like she never truly struggled with much except for her finances. And her tendency to be a bit awkward, but even the awkwardness people seemed to love about her. People would notice how different she was from before she had left for the States, but they all played it off as her having spent so much time there and didn't think anything of it. It was hard to believe at times. Even her relationships with the people in Elizabeth's life was hard to believe at times.

With that being said, Pamela DuMond created a very amusing, light-hearted and fun story that's a quick easy read. I am curious though if the story will continue with Lucy's point-of-view or if we will switch to one of the ladies in waiting??

I rate this book: 3 stars
